Gingerline

Gingerline is a brush script and hand-drawn font family designed by David Kerkhoff and published by Hanoded. The typeface has a handmade calligraphic quality with natural thick-and-thin stroke variation that gives it an organic and authentic feel. The font family includes two styles: Regular and Italic. Its name comes from a shade of orange, specifically the color of ripe kumquats, which reflects the warm and lively personality of the typeface.

The design of Gingerline captures the character of real brush lettering with Chinese ink. David Kerkhoff, a Dutch font designer who runs Hanoded, creates many of his typefaces using brushes and Chinese ink as primary tools. This hands-on approach gives Gingerline an authentic handwritten quality that digital-only script fonts often lack. The font comes with an abundance of diacritics, supporting many languages with proper accented characters.

Gingerline works well for invitations, greeting cards, personal branding, social media graphics, packaging labels, and any design that benefits from a warm handwritten touch. Its calligraphic elegance makes it suitable for wedding stationery and event materials, while its casual brush character also works for more informal applications.
