Delphin

The quick brown fox jumps over the lazy dog
Delphin is a classic typeface designed by Georg Trump and cut by Egon Graf, first cast in metal by C.E. Weber in 1951. The design occupies a distinctive space between formal type and handwritten script, with lowercase letters that carry a fluid, pen-drawn quality contrasted against straighter, relatively compact capitals.
In 1955, a bolder companion weight was introduced as Delphin II, with the original becoming known as Delphin I. Both weights include alternate forms for the letters d, g, and s, offering subtle typographic variation within the same text. The lyric character of the face gives it a poetic quality that sets it apart from more rigid serif or script designs.
Delphin is particularly suited for poetic texts, literary publications, elegant invitations, and editorial headings. Its mid-century origins and distinctive hand-drawn charm make it a valued typeface for designers seeking a warm, cultured aesthetic rooted in the European typographic tradition.
