About the Font 

Frutiger is a humanist sans-serif typeface Created in 1960. It was designed by Adrian Frutiger and published by Linotype and Stemple type Foundry in 1976. It is designed to be clear and readable even at small text sizes. The design combines geometric and humanistic constructions, which make the letterforms easily recognized.

Though Adrian intended to design the typeface to meet the Charles de Gaulle airport directional and signage requirements, its clean and subtle appearance quickly gained popularity for smaller body textual content. He later expanded the font family with Linotype. However, it has 394 glyphs and aalt case dlig dpng frac kern liga locl ordn ornm sups OT features. 

The font is popular amongst many type designers and has also been named ‘the best general typeface ever’ by Erik Spiekermann. Frutiger is a textual version of the Roissy typeface. It became one of the best-selling typefaces of Linotype in 2008.
