Friz Quadrata font is a glyphic serif typeface originally designed by Ernst Friz and published by Visual Graphics Corporation in 1965. Later, bold weight was added to the font by Victor Caruso in 1973 and italic weight was added by Thierry Puyfoulhoux in 1992. The font has four unique styles including Regular, Bold, Italic and Bold Italic. Currently, Friz Quadrata is available in both International Typeface Corporation and Linotype foundries. The font is popular for headlines, displaying and short textual contents. The typeface has a legible appearance, short ascenders & descenders, lowercase letters ‘a’, ‘b’, ‘d’, ‘p’ & ‘q’ have distinct open bowls and letterforms contain curved stroke endings.
The font is available in Windows, Mac OS and Android devices in the format of OTF & TTF. It is only available for personal projects, non-profit & charity usages.
