About The Font
Foundry Sterling Font is a modern sans-serif typeface designed by Freda Sack and published by The Foundry.
The concept of this font was invented in 1999, inspired by other typeface projects, Brunel and British Gas.
In 2001, Freda Sack with assistant Stuart de Rosario developed the elegant, harmonious and modern sans serif typeface and added a unique package in The Foundry collection at that time.
It is a versatile font that can be used for signage, identity and editorial board.
What Does the Foundry Sterling Font look like?
It is an OpenType font with linings and old-style figures.
The letterforms were of the font designed with great attention to proportion and purity to create a functional, eloquent and humanist typeface.
This elegant font contains seven carefully chosen weights, including light, book, book Italic, bold, extra bold, medium and demi.
Each of the weights carries two main sets that are old style and tabular figures. Sterling’s semi-spurless design easily handles text settings in its weight range and performs well at slightly larger sizes.
