Gruppo is an ultralight, refined geometric sans-serif display typeface designed by the late Vernon Adams, a furniture restorer, woodcarver, and self-taught type designer who studied typeface design at the University of Reading, UK, before contributing numerous influential fonts to the Google Fonts library. Gruppo was conceived as a display typeface for style-conscious, laid-back branding where less is more, embodying Jasper Morrison's design philosophy that special is generally less useful than normal.
