About this font
Forma is a classic sans-serif typeface originally designed by Aldo Novarese in 1968 for the Nebiolo type foundry in Turin, Italy. The font is one of Novarese's most significant contributions to modern typography, featuring clean, rational letterforms with a distinctly European character.
Its design reflects the rationalist design movement of the 1960s, with uniform stroke weights, geometric proportions, and a neutral yet elegant personality. Forma predates and parallels Helvetica in many ways but maintains its own distinct Italian design DNA.
Forma is suitable for corporate identities, editorial typography, signage systems, architectural graphics, museum branding, and any project that benefits from a classic European sans-serif with genuine typographic heritage and historical significance.
