Crushed

Crushed is a unicase display typeface designed in 2010 by Brian J. Bonislawsky of Astigmatic (AOETI). It uses a single letterform at cap height instead of traditional upper and lowercase, giving it a distinctive modern character. The condensed body width and subtly tapered vertical strokes add a sense of refined structure to headline text.

Crushed contains 366 defined characters and 217 unique glyphs with support for Basic Latin, Latin-1 Supplement, Latin Extended-A, and several additional Unicode ranges. Despite being intended for display use, the gentle taper of the stems and clean letterforms maintain strong readability even in body text settings. The font is licensed under the Apache License, Version 2.0.

This typeface works well for headlines, posters, web banners, social media graphics, and editorial titles. Its unicase design and tapered strokes give it a fresh, modern look that stands apart from conventional display fonts. It is freely available through Google Fonts.
