Cambo

The quick brown fox jumps over the lazy dog
Cambo is a modern Latin serif inspired by the contrast, ornamental style, and writing traditions of Khmer typefaces. The letterforms carry an unusual elegance with high stroke contrast and distinctive curves that set it apart from standard Latin serifs, giving text a warm cross-cultural character with real visual distinction.
Carolina Giovagnoli and Andres Torresi of Huerta Tipografica designed Cambo in 2012. The font contains 230 glyphs and 178 unique characters, supporting 37 languages across Basic Latin, Latin Extended-A, and currency symbol ranges for broad international use.
Cambo works well for editorial text, book design, cultural publications, bilingual layouts, web body text, and display headlines that benefit from a Khmer-influenced Latin serif. It is available as an open-source font through Google Fonts under the SIL Open Font License.
Type design by Carolina Giovagnoli, Andres Torresi.
