Broken Ranch

Broken Ranch is a rugged slab serif with weathered edges, heavy weight, and a clear western mood. The letterforms feel worn but controlled, which makes short titles, logos, and labels look bold without losing readability.

Heru Utama Putra released it through Storytype Studio in 2023. The free OTF file includes 277 Latin glyphs, so it has enough range for posters, book titles, and branding while still behaving like a display face first. The distressed texture is the key feature here, giving the font its ranch and frontier character.

Broken Ranch suits western posters, labels, logos, book covers, packaging, and vintage branding that need a rough slab serif style. It is available for personal use, with separate licensing for commercial projects.
