Bevan

The quick brown fox jumps over the lazy dog
Bevan is a bold slab serif display face with square weight, open counters, and a strong headline presence. It looks sturdy and direct on screen and in print, which is why it holds up well when titles need impact without drifting into novelty territory.
Vernon Adams designed Bevan, and the family includes 593 Latin glyphs. The typeface was optimized for web use with slightly opened counters and improved stems, and the family later gained an italic style, giving designers a practical open-source slab serif for display-heavy work.
Bevan works well for headlines, posters, web graphics, editorial titles, packaging, and bold brand work that need a heavy slab serif voice. It is released under the SIL Open Font License, so it can be used for both personal and commercial projects.
